9.6.2 Make calls
You can make calls using Siri or the recent list in CarPlay.

If you ask Siri to call a contact without specifying an app, Siri will use your iPhone's Phone app by default. To make a call using Contact Mobile, be sure to include the app's name in your voice command, for example: "Hey Siri, call Carol Brown using Contact Mobile. "
Siri takes into account the FMC settings specified in Contact Mobile. If “GSM Only” is selected, the call will be connected via the cellular network - even if you explicitly say “with Contact Mobile” in your voice command.

If your iPhone uses two SIM cards, Siri uses the default SIM card or the most recently used SIM card.

To make a call using Siri
Activate Siri directly or within the Contact Mobile app in CarPlay.
1 For example, say, “Hey Siri, call Carol Brown using Contact Mobile.”
*The call is initiated and displayed on your infotainment system.
To make a call from the recent list in CarPlay
1 Open the recent list in CarPlay.
2 Tap the entry you want.
*The call to the selected contact is initiated immediately. No additional confirmation is required.

The CarPlay user interface is limited to the most essential functions. In the recent list, you can therefore only call back a received call using the phone number from which it originally came. You cannot open the contact details and call the contact using a different saved phone number.
